    I believe this street was originally known as Salt Lake's Chinatown. For a great then & now comparison check out page 25 of Alan Barnett's book: Seeing Salt Lake City.

    Brad - thanks for the heads up. There are so many great back alleys downtown that I love to explore when I get the chance. That book looks wonderful - I will have to check it out.

    Tod - it's not often that you see wood shingles in a commercial downtown of a city. I couldn't pass the opportunity to take a picture. For me, the back side of the building is more interesting than the front side.
